West Ham COMPLETE £15m signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Man United

West Ham have completed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United in deal worth £15m.

The full-back has completed a medical with the Hammers and his arrival set to be officially unveiled imminently.

Wan-Bissaka had just one year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford and the move appeared to have stalled in recent days over an exit settlement surrounding the reduction of his salary in east London.

However, the transfer finally got over the line on Monday with the club's Premier League opener now just days away.

The deal marks the Hammers' eighth signing of the summer as Julen Lopetegui has set about reshaping his squad since being appointed the club's new manager in May.

The 26-year-old made 160 appearances during his time at Old Trafford, and was part of the team that won the FA Cup in May

Arriving at United in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign at the club, Wan Bissaka would go on to win both domestic cup competitions during his time at Old Trafford.

An accumulation of injuries combined with the form of Diogo Dalot on United's right flank limited his involvement under Erik ten Hag in recent seasons however, and he made just 20 league starts for the Red Devils in 2023-24.

The former England youth international joins Max Kilman, Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Guido Rodriguez as the new arrivals at the London Stadium this summer.

United have moved quickly to shore up their defence in the wake of Wan-Bissaka's departure, bringing in Noussair Mazraoui in addition to his Bayern Munich team-mate Matthijs de Ligt in a £55.8m double deal.

The 26-year-old, who played under Erik ten Hag during his spell at Ajax, has also entered the final year of his deal at Bayern and can play at left back.

West Ham will get their Premier League campaign underway when they play host to Aston Villa at the London Stadium on Saturday.
