Crypto exchange OKX has launched Orbit, a new native social networking feature integrated directly into its trading app. This platform allows users to discuss market trends, host live streams, and execute trades directly from their posts.

Orbit embeds a real-time discussion layer where users can share trade ideas and link them to tradable assets using cashtags like $BTC or $ETH. The feature aims to address credibility issues in online trading communities by enabling the display of verifiable trading performance.

Users can view real-time performance data, including holdings, profit and loss, and trading history, directly linked to their OKX account. This data is derived from exchange metrics and is not editable by the user, offering a layer of transparency.

Participation on Orbit requires identity verification and adherence to the platform's terms of service, including KYC and AML controls. While performance data sharing is optional, it cannot be selectively edited once shared.

The platform also incorporates creator rewards based on follower engagement and trading activity. Orbit will initially be rolled out to a limited group of users and will not be available in markets including the U.S., Europe, Singapore, Australia, and the UAE.
