Stand With Crypto (SWC), backed by Coinbase, is targeting Ohio and Pennsylvania for the 2026 US midterm elections. SWC plans an aggressive voter turnout campaign in Ohio’s 9th and Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional Districts, where incumbents Rep. Marcy Kaptur and Rep. Scott Perry have poor crypto voting records. Kaptur opposed the payment stablecoins bill, while Perry voted against the GENIUS Act. SWC will use paid media, digital outreach, and organizing to sway crypto-minded voters, aiming to influence the outcome in these critical districts.

Crypto advocates are mobilizing in key states to impact the midterms. In Texas, the crypto PAC Fairshake spent $1.5 million opposing Rep. Al Green, now facing a runoff with crypto-supportive candidate Christian Menefee. Meanwhile, Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, despite heavy crypto lobbying, secured the Democratic nomination for Senate, challenging retiring Sen. Dick Durbin.

Ohio, a major battleground in 2024, remains a focus for crypto PACs. Former Rep. Tim Ryan expects significant crypto funding in the race against incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown, who plans to run again in 2026. The industry’s financial backing is poised to play a crucial role in shaping electoral outcomes across the country.
