Global asset manager Franklin Templeton and blockchain platform Ondo Finance have partnered to tokenize five of Franklin Templeton's exchange-traded funds, including a responsibly sourced gold ETF and a high-yield corporate ETF. The offerings will be available via Ondo Global Markets, a platform enabling 24/7 trading for international users.

The move marks a strategic shift toward on-chain investing, allowing digital-native audiences to access traditional assets in wallet ecosystems. Ondo’s platform has secured over $620 million in total value locked since its debut.

While U.S. investors remain ineligible due to regulatory constraints, the initiative follows growing momentum in tokenized securities-fueled by NYSE and Nasdaq pilot programs. Franklin Templeton previously launched tokenized money market funds across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana.

Both firms plan joint educational efforts to integrate traditional finance with emerging digital investment frameworks.
