Glider and Ondo Finance have launched a platform allowing retail investors to create and automate custom portfolios of tokenized US stocks, offering direct equity exposure without a brokerage account.

The platform enables users to build index-like baskets of onchain stocks with custom weightings that automatically rebalance. Unlike traditional ETFs, it avoids pooled assets and liquidity constraints by directly indexing underlying equities.

Users gain exposure to real-world assets without managing wallets, gas fees, or individual trades. Assets are tradeable beyond standard market hours.

The initial focus is on tokenized US equities, with plans to expand into commodities and yield-generating features like lending.

Ondo noted the platform is not yet available to US users but holds multiple SEC registrations, signaling potential future US launch readiness.

Tokenized real-world assets now total $26.5 billion onchain, up from $7.5 billion a year ago, with $908.5 million in tokenized stocks.
