Georgia voters head to the polls Tuesday for a Democratic primary in the state’s 13th Congressional District, where state Representative Jasmine Clark is the beneficiary of over $4.2 million in media spending from the pro-crypto PAC Protect Progress.

Clark has previously voiced support for digital assets, calling them "the future" in a now-deleted social media post, and has been rated as pro-crypto by Stand With Crypto, an organization backed by Coinbase. Protect Progress, along with its affiliates Fairshake and Defend American Jobs, plans to spend millions in 2026 to elect crypto-friendly candidates.

However, the industry’s political influence has faced setbacks. Protect Progress spent $8 million opposing Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton in her Senate primary, yet she still won over 40% of the vote against candidates backed by the PAC.

Next week, a Texas runoff election will test crypto PAC power again. Protect Progress has spent $2.8 million opposing Representative Al Green, who voted against key crypto legislation, and $1.5 million supporting Democratic challenger Christian Menefee in the 18th District. The runoff is set for May 26.
