Satlantis has launched a new Bitcoin-native platform designed for event ticketing, seamlessly integrating Lightning wallets directly into user accounts and events. This innovative approach allows organizers to issue tickets and receive payments in Bitcoin, bypassing traditional payment processors.
The platform, which mirrors functionalities of services like Luma and Eventbrite, offers ticket tiers, attendee management, and dedicated event pages. Crucially, it automatically generates a unique Bitcoin wallet for each event, streamlining direct payments and withdrawals. Satlantis also supports fiat payments via Stripe integration and plans to incorporate stablecoins, providing a single dashboard for accepting Bitcoin, traditional currency, or both.
This move leverages Bitcoin's Lightning Network to significantly cut ticketing fees and enhance accessibility, particularly in regions with limited traditional payment infrastructure. The Lightning Network, a layer-2 protocol on Bitcoin, facilitates faster, low-cost transactions by processing payments off-chain.

Cryptocurrency's role in ticketing and live events is expanding. Early adopters like the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks have accepted Bitcoin for tickets and merchandise. Beyond payments, blockchain firms are exploring tokenized real-world assets for event financing, with platforms like TIX enabling on-chain settlements. FIFA has also experimented with non-fungible token (NFT) initiatives tied to its tournaments, offering "right-to-buy" NFTs that grant holders a window to purchase match tickets.
