Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has stated that perfect security in cryptocurrency remains an impossibility. He explained that codifying complex human intent into inflexible software is the core challenge.

Buterin views security not as a purely technical feature, but as a measure of alignment between user expectations and system behavior. He emphasized that usability and security share the same objective: ensuring the protocol acts according to the user's wishes.

However, he remains firm that no technological system can fully replicate human reasoning.
