Dr. Robert Malone has resigned from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices following a public dispute with HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon.
Malone called Nixon’s media statement the "last straw," accusing him of disparaging remarks that prompted his departure.
He emphasized the decision was not impulsive, citing hundreds of hours of unpaid work, intense criticism, internal conflict, and media hostility.
HHS officials Rich Danker and Martin Kulldorff confirmed Malone’s exit, with Kulldorff defending Nixon as professional and honest.
ACIP colleague Joseph Hibbeln, appointed by RFK Jr., questioned Malone’s claim of avoiding drama, noting past controversial statements.
