Family life often hampers physical activity with busy schedules. Nonetheless, families can create positive exercise habits together. Research indicates that children inspire parents to be active, fostering a mutual motivation that benefits everyone.

A recent study involved 16 families participating in a 45-minute tag-rugby session. Following activities, assessments revealed significant improvements in cognitive function and insulin response after exercise compared to resting.

Children exhibited enhanced working memory abilities, while parents showed improved information processing capabilities. While these findings are preliminary and require further research, the results suggest that family-oriented physical activities could enhance health and cognitive performance.
