The maternity unit at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC, is once again on diversion for six days due to a shortage of obstetrician-gynecologists. A diversion has been put in place from Wednesday, March 25 at 8 a.m. until Tuesday, March 31 at 8 a.m.
Fraser Health advises expectant mothers planning to give birth at Peace Arch Hospital to contact the maternity unit for guidance on where to receive care. The health authority is working to fill vacancies and expects a new physician to join the team in May.
