Jay Cutler earned the nickname “The Quad Stomper” en route to four Mr. Olympia titles. His leg press technique was central to that dominance.

Cutler emphasized lower foot placement on the platform-feet shoulder-width apart-to isolate the frontal quadriceps. A wider stance shifts emphasis to hamstrings; narrower targets outer quads. Lower placement increases knee flexion for deeper quad engagement-but he warned against locking knees or allowing knees to drift past toes.

He prescribed 12 reps per set, prioritizing full range of motion and strict form over maximal weight. "Hit the deepest fibers," he said-never sacrificing control for load.
