A federal judge has blocked Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s overhaul of CDC vaccine guidance and dissolved his reconstituted Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

The ruling found Kennedy’s January 2026 changes to the childhood immunization schedule likely violated the Administrative Procedure Act.

The decision came days before the scheduled March 18-19 ACIP meeting-intended to review alleged COVID-19 vaccine injuries.

In his opinion, Judge Murphy rejected the Department of Justice’s claim that Kennedy’s health secretary actions were ‘unreviewable,’ quoting Carl Sagan: ‘Science is far from a perfect instrument of knowledge… Nevertheless, science is still “the best we have.”’
