Fox News' Wellness Week put red light therapy and contrast therapy to the test in downtown New York City. The team visited La Reserve Esthetics and Wellness to experience red light therapy, which uses LED light to promote skin healing and collagen production. Dr. Marc Siegel, Fox News senior medical analyst, confirmed consistent use can be effective but cautioned it may take three to four weeks to see visible results.

The team then tested contrast therapy: 15 to 20 minutes in a 190-degree sauna followed by a plunge into an ice bath at 46 to 48 degrees. Adam Klotz described the experience as "a rush" and "definitely a shot of life."
Dr. Siegel cited a long-term Finnish study showing regular contrast therapy decreases mortality by 40% to 50%. However, he issued a warning: individuals should consult a doctor before attempting extreme temperature therapies, especially to ensure heart health.
Wellness Week will continue to explore other trends including IV drips, wearable tech, and sensory deprivation tanks.
