World number two Carlos Alcaraz has withdrawn from the Barcelona Open due to a right wrist injury. The Spaniard sustained the injury during his first-round match but managed to finish it.
Alcaraz, a two-time champion at the event, had recently competed in the Monte-Carlo Masters final. He is expected to target a return for the Madrid and Rome tournaments as he prepares for the French Open.
