Jannik Sinner will have an opportunity to run it back.

Sinner, 24, defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday at Centre Court. This victory gives him a chance to win consecutive Wimbledon titles. He will play Alexander Zverev in the final on Sunday.

It is the second straight year that Sinner has eliminated Djokovic in the Wimbledon semifinal. The two have now faced each other 12 times, with Sinner winning seven matches against the 39-year-old legend.

Sinner broke Djokovic in the ninth game of the first set to take a 5-4 lead and won the set 6-4. He broke again in the second set to take a 4-3 lead and held serve to win that set 6-4.

In the third set, Sinner broke Djokovic in the first game after four break points and held on to win the set 6-4. Djokovic did not break Sinner's serve once during the entire match.

The crowd chanted "Novak! Novak!" to try to spur on the 24-time Grand Slam winner, but to no avail.

Sinner has now defeated Djokovic six of the last seven times they have played. Last year, Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz to win the Wimbledon title. The final on Sunday will be his seventh career Grand Slam final.

The Italian star will take on Alexander Zverev on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET. Zverev is looking to win his second consecutive major title after winning the French Open in June.
