SHANGHAI, March 15 - Fernando Alonso withdrew from Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix after reporting severe physical discomfort caused by his Aston Martin's Honda engine vibration.
The two-time world champion described losing sensation in his hands and feet between laps 20 and 35. Citing safety concerns, he retired while running last, one lap down.
Alonso emphasized the issue requires dyno testing before the next race in Japan. Teammate Lance Stroll also retired, expressing skepticism about a mid-season fix.
