Former Wales captain Aaron Ramsey announced his retirement from professional soccer at age 35. Ramsey made his debut for Cardiff City in 2006 before playing for Arsenal, Juventus, and Nice. He returned to Cardiff from 2023-2025.
His final club was Mexican side Pumas UNAM, where his contract was terminated last year.
Ramsey earned 86 caps for Wales, scoring 21 goals since his international debut in 2008.
"This has not been an easy decision to make," Ramsey said. "After a lot of consideration, I have decided to retire from football."
Wales failed to qualify for this year's World Cup.
