SSC Napoli has officially appointed Massimiliano Allegri as head coach on a deal running through June 30, 2029. The veteran Italian manager will reportedly earn €4.5 million per year, replacing Antonio Conte, who departed shortly before the announcement.

Allegri terminated his contract with AC Milan without a payout following his sacking at the end of the 2025-26 season, clearing the path to Naples. Preliminary agreements emerged in late May, with the official confirmation arriving around July 3, 2026.

Napoli has navigated a turbulent period since winning Serie A in 2023. The squad was subsequently dismantled through player sales, and Conte's tenure ended abruptly. Allegri, who previously won multiple Serie A titles with Juventus and AC Milan, is now tasked with restoring stability to the club.
