LIVERPOOL, England - Beto scored two goals as Everton routed Chelsea 3-0 in a Premier League showdown at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

The victory marks Everton’s largest win over Chelsea since 1987 and snapped a four-match losing streak for the Blues across all competitions.

Beto opened the scoring in the 33rd minute after a precise assist from James Garner, who shined in midfield following his first England call-up this week. He fired his second through goalkeeper Robert Sanchez’s legs early in the second half.

Iliman Ndiaye sealed the match with a curling strike into the top corner with 14 minutes remaining.

Chelsea stay sixth in the table with 48 points from 31 games. Everton leapfrogged into seventh with 46 points, intensifying their push for European football next season.

It’s the first time Everton have registered consecutive wins at their new River Mersey stadium.
