England captain Ben Stokes has downplayed reports of disagreements with head coach Brendon McCullum, stating they sometimes have different viewpoints but remain aligned on team goals.

Despite media speculation suggesting a strained relationship following England's Ashes defeat, Stokes expressed confidence in their ability to work together effectively.

"Agreeing on every single thing, that's just impossible," Stokes said. "We agree 95 per cent of the time on things, but those 5 per cent things that we might have different views on, we talk about it."

Since McCullum took charge in 2022, he and Stokes have implemented the aggressive "Bazball" style of play. England will host New Zealand for a three-test series in June.
