WWE has announced that Allen Coage-better known as Bad News Brown-will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Legacy Member of the 2026 class.

A bronze medalist in judo at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Coage transitioned to professional wrestling, competing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, and the World Wrestling Federation. He was known for his intense demeanor and memorable feuds with Randy Savage and Roddy Piper, including a high-profile bout at WrestleMania IV.

Though he never won a championship in WWE, Coage captured four Stampede North American Heavyweight titles and was inducted into the Canadian Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2007.

"From standing on the podium at the 1976 Summer Olympics to the center of the ring at #WrestleMania IV, Bad News Brown was a fierce competitor with an attitude to match," said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Coage passed away in 2007 at age 63. His legacy as a trailblazer in both Olympic combat sports and professional wrestling will be formally recognized next year.
