Bayern Munich needed a stoppage-time strike from Michael Olise to salvage a 3-3 draw against last-placed Heidenheim on Saturday, extending their unbeaten league run but exposing defensive frailties.
Coach Vincent Kompany made heavy rotations after Tuesday's Champions League semifinal first-leg loss to Paris St. Germain, and his side quickly fell behind 2-0 after goals from Budu Zivzivadze and Eren Dinkci. Leon Goretzka pulled one back just before halftime with a superb free kick.
Goretzka equalized in the 57th minute, but Heidenheim regained the lead through Zivzivadze in the 76th minute-his fourth consecutive league goal for the club. With the game entering the 10th minute of stoppage time, Olise fired a long-range effort deflected in off goalkeeper Diant Ramaj to snatch a point for the champions.
Bayern remain atop the Bundesliga with 83 points. Heidenheim sit in last place with 23 points, two behind VfL Wolfsburg and three adrift of safety.
