Italian second-tier club Cesena has appointed former England defender Ashley Cole as head coach through the end of June.
Cole, 45, boasts a decorated playing career, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups across stints with Arsenal and Chelsea. He also lifted the Champions League and Europa League with Chelsea and earned 107 caps for England.
This marks Cole’s first senior managerial role. Cesena currently sits eighth in Serie B.
He retired in 2019 after playing for AS Roma, LA Galaxy, and Derby County, then transitioned into coaching with roles in Chelsea’s youth system, Everton, Birmingham City, and as an assistant with the England national team.
