Caitlin Clark made her Team USA debut wearing the iconic No. 12 jersey, a number long associated with WNBA legend Diana Taurasi. The Indiana Fever star scored 17 points and earned MVP honors in the FIBA World Cup qualifier in Puerto Rico.

Taurasi, a six-time Olympic gold medalist, called Clark’s selection "perfect" and expressed excitement to watch her compete in Germany and at the upcoming Olympics. She joked that former teammate Sue Bird may have influenced the jersey choice.

Clark, who previously wore No. 22 in the WNBA and at Iowa, overcame eight months of injuries to deliver a standout performance on the international stage.
