Canada Soccer announced on Monday that manager Jesse Marsch has signed a four-year contract extension, keeping him at the helm through the 2030 World Cup.
The American coach took over in 2024, guiding Canada to a fourth-place finish at the 2024 Copa America and a historic FIFA ranking of 26-its highest ever. Marsch, formerly of Leeds United and RB Leipzig, has compiled a record of 12 wins, 12 draws, and five defeats with Canada.
The extension was largely funded by five Canadian families and supporters linked to the men’s national team program. Canada, co-host of the 2026 World Cup alongside the United States and Mexico, qualified automatically for the tournament.
Marsch's side will face Uzbekistan on June 1 and Ireland on June 5 in final warm-ups before opening their World Cup campaign against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12 in Toronto.
