The Catalan Grand Prix was red-flagged on Sunday after a high-speed crash involving Pedro Acosta and Alex Marquez. Acosta, leading on lap 12, lost power on the straight near turn 10, causing Marquez to hit the back of his KTM. Marquez’s bike cartwheeled into the wall, also taking out Fabio Di Giannantonio.
All riders were conscious, but Marquez was taken to hospital and will not restart. The race will resume for 13 laps based on lap 11 standings.
