Yamaha confirmed it will part ways with Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins when the 2026 MotoGP season concludes.

Quartararo, the 2021 world champion, joined the manufacturer in 2019, amassing 11 race wins and 32 podiums during his tenure. Rins joined the team in 2024 following a prior injury.

The separation caps a difficult chapter for the manufacturer. Yamaha has struggled for pace, securing only one combined podium since 2024. That sole top-three finish came from Quartararo at last year’s Spanish Grand Prix.

The current campaign has been punishing. Yamaha languishes near the bottom of the team standings with just 64 points, while both riders sit outside the championship top 10.
