Marc Marquez claimed his 100th career grand prix victory with a commanding performance at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday. The 33-year-old Spaniard beat KTM's Pedro Acosta in a thrilling battle at Balaton Park, marking his first win since last year's San Marino Grand Prix and his 74th in MotoGP. The triumph, which also gave Ducati its 100th victory, came less than a month after Marquez underwent surgery on his shoulder and foot.

The race was marred by a multi-rider crash on the first lap involving Aprilia's Jorge Martin and championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, both of whom were taken to the medical center. Martin was diagnosed with bruising on his back and right foot, while Bezzecchi sustained contusions on his right leg and hand. No fractures were found.

Up front, Acosta seized the lead on lap two, but Marquez responded on lap 14, eventually taking the lead at the chicane and pulling away. He stood on his bike as he crossed the finish line and celebrated with a red flag emblazoned with the number 100. The win puts Marquez in elite company as only the third rider to reach a century of wins, alongside Giacomo Agostini (122) and Valentino Rossi (115).

"Super happy. Expensive win because after last year it changed everything," Marquez said. Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia finished third, while Trackhouse rider Ai Ogura took fourth and Honda's Luca Marini completed the top five.
