Canada initially took the lead in the second period with a short-handed breakaway goal by Kristin O’Niell. However, the U.S. responded in the third period when Hilary Knight netted the equalizer with under three minutes remaining. Megan Keller then sealed the win for the Americans with the overtime game-winner.
With this silver medal, Canada concludes the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics with a total of 15 medals.
