Darwin Núñez is set to leave Al-Hilal at the end of the season after reaching an agreement with the club's hierarchy.
The Uruguayan striker, 26, joined the Saudi Pro League side last August for £46 million ($63m) but was sidelined after Karim Benzema's arrival in January forced a registration squeeze. He has not played since February.
Despite earning £400,000 per week, Núñez is prioritizing playing time over money. He recorded six goals and four assists in 16 league appearances this season.
His lack of game time also cost him his starting spot with Uruguay under Marcelo Bielsa.
Núñez previously spent three years at Liverpool, scoring 40 goals in 143 appearances after a big-money move from Benfica. His spell at Anfield was marked by inconsistency and high-profile misses.
Chelsea and Juventus are among the clubs reportedly interested in bringing him back to Europe.
