Arthur Fils has won the Barcelona Open, defeating Andrey Rublev 6-2, 7-6(2) on Sunday. This marks Fils' first title since his return from an eight-month injury layoff in February.
The 21-year-old Frenchman secured his fourth ATP title and third on clay. Fils dominated the first set, breaking Rublev and closing it out quickly.
Despite a challenging second set where Rublev fought back, Fils ultimately prevailed in a tiebreak to clinch the championship. He overcame several break points and secured a decisive break to take control.
