The Chicago Cubs kicked off their 2026 season with a six-game homestand at Wrigley Field.
Among the attendees at Wednesday's 2 p.m. start was a fan dressed for cold weather, seen using both a laptop and cellphone, seemingly conducting business after the first pitch.
This isn't the first time such behavior has been noted. Last season, another fan was photographed working on a laptop during an August game, even bringing a computer mouse.
Broadcasters joked about the trend, questioning whether the fan was working or preparing for fantasy drafts.
Cubs pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts in their 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Matthew Boyd led the charge with ten strikeouts.
The team takes a break Thursday before heading to Cleveland to face the Guardians in a weekend series.
