MANCHESTER, England - Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital on Sunday after falling unwell ahead of the Premier League match against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The 84-year-old was at the stadium for the match when he began feeling unwell. Sky Sports reported that Ferguson was conscious and received precautionary checks before being taken away.
Ferguson managed United from 1986 until his retirement in 2013, winning 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies. He won a total of 38 trophies during his tenure. A club spokesperson declined to comment on his condition.
