A year after demolishing Inter Milan 5-0 with attacking flair, PSG found another way to win despite falling behind to an early Kai Havertz goal. The Arsenal defense, which had conceded only six goals en route to the final, smothered PSG's attacking threats throughout a frustrating first half.
PSG showed patience, completing 837 passes to Arsenal's 199 with over 70 percent possession. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia drew a penalty from Cristhian Mosquera in the second half, which Ousmane Dembele converted to level the match at 1-1.
