Arsenal secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Sporting in the Champions League quarter-final, marking a significant turnaround after recent cup losses.
Kai Havertz scored the decisive goal from the substitute bench, giving the Gunners momentum ahead of next week’s return leg in London.
"Definitely a big turnaround," Havertz told Amazon Prime. "We lost the last two matches. We wanted to get a turnaround today and we made that happen."
The win comes after Arsenal's quadruple hopes were reduced to a 'double' following defeats in the League Cup final and the FA Cup.
Despite those setbacks, Havertz remains optimistic about the team's chances. "Seven weeks to go, we can win big titles," he said.
He also praised goalkeeper David Raya, calling him "the best keeper in the world" for his match-winning performance.
