Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed he will extend his contract with the club through 2028, citing confidence in the project and a sense of belonging at Camp Nou.

Flick’s announcement comes just days after Barcelona secured the La Liga title with a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid. The German coach has restored stability at the club, delivering domestic silverware and setting his sights on greater European success.

“It’s become clear to me that I’m in the right place,” Flick told reporters. “Now it’s time to keep winning and try again to win the Champions League. I’m very grateful to the club for their confidence.”

Despite holding a 14-point league lead with three games left, Flick is pushing his team to reach 100 points this season. He also praised the leadership of Gavi, Pedri, and the senior players for maintaining high standards during an injury-plagued campaign.

“We’ve conceded the fewest goals, and nobody expected that,” Flick said, highlighting the team’s resilience.
