Iowa stunned defending national champion Florida 73-72 in the second round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament Sunday night, thanks to a go-ahead three-pointer by Alvaro Folgueiras with just over four seconds remaining.

Guard Bennett Stirtz inbounded to Folgueiras in the corner, who stepped back and drained the shot. Florida failed to get off a final attempt.

Folgueiras scored 14 points and dedicated the moment to his late father and mother, who watched courtside. Tavion Banks added 20 points for the Hawkeyes.

Alex Condon led Florida with 21 points. The loss eliminates the Gators as the first No. 1 seed ousted in this year’s tournament.

Iowa advances to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1999.
