New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson has confirmed his ambition to represent the United States on the Olympic basketball stage, particularly with the Summer Games returning to Los Angeles in 2028. While winning an NBA title with the Knicks remains his top priority, playing for Team USA is a goal that will not fade.

"Absolutely," Brunson stated when asked about the Olympics being a top goal. He expressed that it would be an "honor to represent the country," noting that very few people have the opportunity to do so.

Brunson, a two-time All-NBA guard averaging 27.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists this season, was notably left off the 2024 Paris Olympics roster. He previously shared with GQ Sports that he believed he could have contributed to the team, but ultimately moves forward and focuses on improvement.

He has previously represented the U.S. in other tournaments, including the 2023 FIBA World Cup, but the Olympic stage remains a distinct aspiration. The Knicks guard is also looking to lead his team past the Eastern Conference Finals this season.
