World No. 2 Jannik Sinner says Daniil Medvedev has returned to top form ahead of their Indian Wells final, highlighting the Russian’s powerful serve and deep returns.

After defeating Alexander Zverev 6-2, 6-4, Sinner noted Medvedev’s more aggressive approach this season-following a lackluster 2025 that saw him exit early from all Grand Slams and win just one title in Almaty.

Medvedev has since rebounded with victories in Brisbane and Dubai.

"He's back to very high level. Very big serve, I feel like. He's returning very well, very deep," Sinner said.

The Italian leads their head-to-head 8-7 and last beat Medvedev at the 2024 ATP Finals. Now, he faces his first Indian Wells final, seeking his maiden title of the year.

"Of course, the next one will be a very tough test, but I'm extremely happy," Sinner added. "We have improved this week... and that for me was the most important part."
