The NBA Finals are back at Madison Square Garden for the first time in 27 years, but the celebration comes with a steep price tag that has even the players talking.

Knicks guard Josh Hart told reporters Monday that the ticket prices are “ridiculous,” with the cheapest seats going for $7,000 to $8,000. “I feel like a lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren’t able to get into the building,” Hart said.

The Knicks hold a 2-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs. The get-in price for Game 3 on the secondary market hit $10,000 over the weekend, and Game 4 tickets are even higher, with a minimum of $10,097 as of Sunday night.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend Game 3, prompting enhanced security. When asked about the high prices, Trump said fans can “watch it on television.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver called the situation “frustrating,” acknowledging the market forces at play. Meanwhile, a focused Knicks team is blocking out the noise, including the presence of the president, as they aim for a sweep.

Game 3 tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET Monday.
