Golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player have voiced their support for Tiger Woods as he undergoes treatment following his recent DUI arrest. Woods was found with prescription opioid medication hydrocodone, used for pain relief. Both Nicklaus and Player acknowledged the physical pain Woods has endured from numerous surgeries.

Gary Player commented that while he doesn't blame Woods for taking medicine to manage pain and sleep deprivation, he must be smarter with his decisions, particularly regarding driving while under medication. Player also expressed concern for Woods, noting that living in daily pain is a significant hardship.

Jack Nicklaus echoed the sentiment, stating that golf needs Woods and they would all love to see him return. Woods has been granted permission to seek comprehensive inpatient treatment abroad, believed to be in Switzerland. Authorities are also seeking his prescription drug records.
