Jon Rahm will be eligible for the European team at the 2027 Ryder Cup after reaching a settlement with the DP World Tour. The twice major champion agreed to pay outstanding fines of approximately $3.33 million and participate in select DP World Tour events this season, effectively ending a standoff that threatened his participation in the biennial competition.
The agreement also resolves appeals related to Rahm playing in conflicting LIV Golf events without a release. Rahm, who competed in last year's Ryder Cup victory for Europe, will now earn Race to Dubai ranking points starting at next week's PGA Championship.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund has stated that investing in LIV Golf beyond 2026 is "no longer consistent" with its strategy. Rahm, LIV Golf's two-time defending individual champion, declined to speculate on his future with the breakaway circuit, citing his contract and focus on the current season and majors.
