A motorcycle crash in Greensboro over the weekend claimed the life of North Carolina A&T football player Kelvin Broadhurst Jr., 20.

Police reported Broadhurst was ejected from his Ducati motorcycle after losing control on Interstate 40 around 5 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Broadhurst, a defensive lineman, played in 28 games during his college career, recording 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks. His mother described him as a "polite, most respectful young man."

Originally from Woodland, South Carolina, Broadhurst was preparing to finish his junior year at North Carolina A&T.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
