Kevin Knight is climbing the ranks in All Elite Wrestling. He earned a shot at the AEW World Championship after defeating Maxwell Jacob Friedman on Dynamite.
Knight withstood MJF's offense, including a cutter and a Panama sunrise. When MJF attempted to use the Dynamite diamond ring, Knight hit a low blow, rolled him up, and secured the pinfall.
After the match, MJF attacked Knight in frustration. Champion Darby Allin made the save, then declared Knight would get a title shot if he beat Brody King. King confirmed Knight was the number one contender should he win.
Allin then defended his title in a brutal match against King. King dominated early, tossing Allin through the announce table. Allin rallied with a Code Red on the table, and after a series of Coffin Drops, retained the championship.
In other action, FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler challenged Adam Copeland and Christian Cage to an "I Quit" match at Double or Nothing. Copeland and Cage accepted the challenge. If they lose, they may no longer team up in AEW.
