Barcelona coach Hansi Flick stated his team must "make the impossible possible" to overcome a four-goal deficit against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
Atletico secured a commanding first-leg victory, leaving Barcelona facing a significant challenge to defend their title. Despite the odds, Flick emphasized belief and a strong offensive strategy.
"We are four goals behind and we have to make the impossible possible. That is the objective. It’s not easy. However, we will not give up," Flick told reporters. He added, "For example, in each half we need to score two goals."
Barcelona, the LaLiga scoring leaders, will be without striker Robert Lewandowski due to a fractured eye socket. Flick noted the difficulty of managing his absence but expressed confidence in the team's ability to adapt.
"We must press them, win the duels and make things difficult for them. We cannot lose possession, as they are very dangerous in transition... we have to play as one, especially tomorrow," Flick concluded.
