Everton manager David Moyes lauded the save, stating, "The biggest credit I could give the save was that Tonali's volley was textbook. He couldn't have hit it any better. It took a wonder save to keep it out."
Everton, seeking to break a two-match losing streak, initially led through Jarrad Branthwaite. Newcastle equalized via Jacob Ramsey, but Beto quickly restored Everton's advantage.
