Jordan Pickford delivered a season-defining save in added time, deflecting Sandro Tonali's powerful volley to the crossbar, securing a dramatic 3-2 Premier League victory for Everton at Newcastle United.

Everton manager David Moyes lauded the save, stating, "The biggest credit I could give the save was that Tonali's volley was textbook. He couldn't have hit it any better. It took a wonder save to keep it out."

Everton, seeking to break a two-match losing streak, initially led through Jarrad Branthwaite. Newcastle equalized via Jacob Ramsey, but Beto quickly restored Everton's advantage. Newcastle drew level again late in the match through Jacob Murphy, only for substitute Thierno Barry to score moments later, setting the stage for Pickford's heroics.

Branthwaite added, "The best save I've ever seen, I don't know how he's pulled it off. When he does things like that it's magic, he's kept us in the game."
