Novak Djokovic is grappling with lingering injury problems that have sidelined him from recent tournaments. His status for the upcoming Madrid Open, a key event before the French Open, remains uncertain. Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, expressed hope to compete but admitted uncertainty regarding his physical condition.

"I'm struggling physically a little bit with an injury, so I'm trying to address that and play as long as I can," Djokovic told Spanish broadcaster Movistar+.

The Serbian star withdrew from the Miami Open due to a right shoulder injury and subsequently skipped the Monte Carlo Masters. He is aiming for a record 25th Grand Slam title at Roland Garros, which begins May 24.
