NFL Draft prospect Taylen Green, former Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback, delivered a standout performance at the Scouting Combine, running a 4.36-second 40-yard dash and recording a 43.5-inch vertical jump.

Despite his athleticism, Green faced questions about switching from quarterback to another position-a topic he addressed head-on in an interview with former NFL star Robert Griffin III.

"I’m a quarterback. Draft me as a quarterback," Green said, drawing parallels to Lamar Jackson’s experience. "I’m not trying to make this a whole race thing, but I feel like they definitely see my color and they think I’m gonna run… can’t really throw or process things."

Green noted that such position-change pressures began in recruiting and persist into the pre-draft process. He referenced Jackson, who stayed at QB and won two MVPs, as proof elite Black dual-threat quarterbacks can succeed.

NFL.com lists Green as a potential backup with starter upside. His stance underscores ongoing conversations about racial bias in player evaluation.
