NHL general managers face a critical deadline Friday at 3 p.m. ET to finalize roster moves. Several high-profile players are reportedly being eyed for potential trades.

Calgary Flames center Nazem Kadri, a Stanley Cup champion, is a significant trade chip. With 12 goals and 41 points in 60 games this season, the 35-year-old has three years remaining on his contract at a $7 million annual average value (AAV).

St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas, 26, is another player in demand. Despite having five years left on his $8.125 million AAV contract, the Blues are in a rebuilding phase. Thomas has recorded 13 goals and 37 points in 44 games.

Vincent Trocheck of the New York Rangers could also be on the move. The 32-year-old center, who recently won a gold medal with the U.S. at the Olympics, has 12 goals and 39 points this season. His contract carries an AAV of $5.625 million for the next three seasons.

Other players generating trade speculation include Toronto Maple Leafs winger Bobby McMann, Calgary's Blake Coleman, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, St. Louis defenseman Justin Faulk, Toronto's Scott Laughton, Vancouver Canucks winger Conor Garland, and veteran forward Evander Kane.

These potential moves highlight a busy period for NHL teams aiming to enhance their playoff chances or retool for the future.
